Galveston Birthday Weekend

This weekend Jeff and I headed to Galveston to stay at the San Luis Resort to celebrate my birthday. We love the San Luis and couldn't wait to get there Friday. We left early Friday morning and dropped off our favorite little baby man. He was ready to spend the weekend with his Meme.

It has not rained all summer so of course it decided to rain this weekend. We shopped a little on the strand and before long the sun came out.
Saturday night we went to dinner with 3 other couples. We ate at Rudy and Paco's and let me just say that it was the best meal I have had all year. If you go to Galveston anytime in this lifetime you must make a dinner reservation and eat there.

After dinner we bar hopped on the strand. We ended up at Yaga's Cafe and we were by far the oldest people in the bar. It was filled with college kids dressed like this.....
I tried to get a picture of this guy's mustache without him seeing but I failed. I just called him over when he busted me and he posed for us. He said he was trying to "take the mustache back from the pedophile".
Saturday morning I had the pleasure of enjoying a nice hot seashell massage at the spa. Turns out the hot seashells were way too hot and they burned my neck. The burn looked a lot like a giant hickey. No one believed my burn story so I was "that girl" all day.
Jeff and I at the pool cabana.
Franks Billingsley (a local weatherman) and his "friends". Frank had a lot of "friends".
Jeff and I before our boat ride with friends. We took a boat from Galveston to Kemah for lunch. Jeff was real excited.

The weekend was so much fun. There are so many stories and new memories with great friends. I am happy to be home with my favorite 10 month old though. He started saying "dada"while we were gone. I'm sure Jeff's mother had something to do with that. ;)

Until next time.....
